What is Choosaroo?

Choosaroo is a family run and owned small business. Our goal is to help families make the best choices possible through all different stages of life.

Our Values…

With our magnet model and children stories, we are trying our best to provide people with the tools to encourage them to achieve financial security, health, happiness, and safety throughout different stages of life.

A goal of ours is to help younger generations grow to internalize a strong decision making technique and strategy.

Meet the makers!

Caroline Beard: Hi everyone! I am 18 years old and about to go to college. I grew up with the “Decision Tree Magnet” hung on my fridge door. Whenever I make a decision, this guide always comes to mind. I feel like having this tool to look at, instead of my mom constantly telling me what to do, has strengthened our relationship and has improved trust between us! On my free time I enjoy going to the gym, baking, playing tennis, and hanging out with friends. I hope everyone loves what we’ve made for Choosaroo!

Georgia Beard: Hello! I am a second year student at Santa Barbara City College. While studying communications in Isla Vista, California, my experiences living in the college town highly inspired my passion for Choosaroo. My goal for the magnet model and children’s stories is to encourage conscientious decision making within families, preparing everyone for children’s new experiences of freedom while growing up. Outside of my studies, I enjoy weightlifting, swimming in the ocean, and cooking.

Jamie Brice: Hi everyone! I have been a marketing director for over 30 years. However, beyond my career, I have a passion for gardening, which I feel is a therapeutic escape from the fast-paced corporate world. In addition, I love road biking during my free time. Exploring new routes and challenging myself physically allows me to clear my mind and find balance in busy life with my family.

I wanted Choosaroo’s first children’s story, “Gigi and Coco’s Amazing Adventure with Nutty,” to be based on a proven decision-making framework my sister and I used to raise our children. The book aims to teach children the importance of making thoughtful choices and considering the consequences of their actions. Through engaging storytelling and relatable characters, I hope to empower young readers with valuable life skills that will serve them well into adulthood.

Janaize Markland: Hello everyone! I am the mother of two wonderful daughters and a risk manager by profession. When my girls were little, I used to say, “make good choices!” when they walked out the door. I assumed that was enough guidance to figure most things out. It generally was enough when the choices were limited to taking risks on the playground or deciding what kind of snack to have. As my daughters got older, their decisions got harder. The risks were bigger, as were the consequences of those actions. Relationships, driving, personal habits, career choices. Trying to help, I would offer advice that often sounded like I was telling them what to do. Instead of just listening to someone else and not thinking much of it, I wanted them to be able to come to the best decision themselves. Enter our first product and the framework for Choosaroo, “The Decision Tree Magnet.”

I hope our products bring health and happiness to your families, just like it did ours!
